Sustainable Development

The Triathlon Audencia – La Baule is also an opportunity to transmit the values we hold dear, such as Sustainable Development.

It is in this sense that we have been awarded the Agenda21 label “Sustainable development – sport is committed” since 2009. 

To raise awareness of environmental issues, the mascot and the sustainable development stand are present throughout the weekend the event.

We favor the choice of recyclable or biodegradable materials and we solicit a caterer and local producers (Pomona, Strawberries Burban production, Les Saveurs du Verger), as well as SAUR, Cap Atlantique, the services of the city of La Baule and student volunteers to leave a clean site. 

Our actions are not limited to the only weekend but extend throughout the year. To reduce the environmental impact and offset the carbon emissions of the event, each year we participate in a tree planting for the city of La Baule. Nearly 1000 trees have already been planted.

A waste collection on the beach is also organized via the surfrider platform in 2019.
